Edges
The foothills of a mountain range, the edge of a forest, the shore of a lake, the border between two countries, the in-between area of two neighborhoods, or even a garden fence can act as edges. Whether linear or continuous, discontinuous or curvilinear, they constitute structural elements of the landscape, offering contrast and tension between urban or natural setting that they divide.
