Boitsfort Racecourse

THE PROJECT IN SUMMARY

Winner of a competition launched by the Brussels-Capital Region, JNC International was responsible for the landscape project management of the former Boitsfort racecourse.

 

The office applied its landscaping expertise at the service of a place transforming it into a park of relaxation and sports or cultural leisure activities for all. These skills were also used to develop a project that fully respects the environment in which it is part, taking into account the constraints and regulatory requirements since the site is classified and located in a Natura 2000 zone.

 

The landscaping aims above all to create coherence and unity of the place but also to highlight the old infrastructures - stands, central ring, weighing area, etc. - which are renovated. The new Boitsfort racecourse, which is rediscovering its vocation for relaxation and leisure, also becomes a corner of nature in the heart of the city, where all generations meet.
