Anton site in Andenne

THE PROJECT IN SUMMARY

Located on the edge of the urbanized fringes of Andenne, the new sustainable neighborhood on the Anton site is designed to develop without destabilizing the city center and taking into account a series of environmental and socio-economic aspects. Given the vision planned for the urbanization of the entire site, the project proposes an evolving landscape, a park made up of meadows, orchards, and crops which is gradually urbanized while keeping perennial productive pockets within each block. The identity of the neighborhood defined between urbanity and rurality is therefore preserved. The Anton site thus becomes the logical extension of the city. The urban fabric of the surrounding districts is extended while preserving and enhancing the existing natural and landscaped elements. A place for meetings and walks, the new neighborhood offers a multitude of public and semi-public spaces with different atmospheres, animated by the presence of major shops, services, and facilities. Largely based on the regeneration of the host environment, the neighborhood design limits its environmental impact and offers an innovative architecture that aims to ensure a simple reallocation of buildings.
